Girls 11th, boys 14th at NEPA Invite

The Wellsboro Cross Country teams competed in the NEPA Invite on Saturday, October 3.
The girls team finished in 11th place with a total score of 284. Sophomore Anna Bleggi (21:51) was the highest finisher in 25th spot, senior Camryn Keane (24:05) was 72nd, freshman Zoe Iseri (24:23) was 79th, senior Samantha Bailey (24:26) was 81st, freshman Taylor Romania (24:28) was 84th, and freshman Kara Doane (24:52) was 90th.
On the boys side, the team finished with 367 points in 14th place. Freshman Aidan Perry (18:52) was 42nd, senior Alden Weiner (19:19) was 66th, sophomore Connor Brought (19:37) was 78th, junior Bryon Callahan (19:57) was 88th, freshman Bergen Weiner (20:15) was 96th, freshman Zach Busch (20:52) was 114th, and sophomore Kyle Wilson (21:29) was 125th.
In the Middle School race, the girls finished 16th with a score of 368. Jaime Palmer (13:36) finished 61st, Aislinn Hoose (13:57) was 76th, Kylie Butler (14:10) was 86th, Hope Sampson (14:40) was 115th, Emma Palmer (14:47) was 122, and Tessa Bailey (16:02) was 172nd. The boys team finished 12th overall with a score of 326. Austin Richards (11:25) finished 15th, Dylan Tomb (12:58) was 86th, Jacob Trowbridge (13:54) was 137th, Aidan Fletcher (15:56) was 180th, and Daniel Swanson (16:25) was 188th.
The teams will be back in action on Tuesday, October 6 as they host Towanda and Northeast Bradford.
