Hornet XC teams finish season at States

The Wellsboro cross country teams finished their season Saturday at the PIAA State Meet in Hershey.
The girls team placed 11th out of 18 Single A teams with 266 points. The boys did not have a full team to place, but Seniors Jordan Jackson and Bobby Hill represented the team. Jackson finished 17th overall in a time of 16:54 and Hill finished in 52nd in 17:37.
For the girls, the team was led by Freshman Jada Jackson in 51st (21:17). Freshman Jordyn Coffee was the second finisher for the Hornets in 80th (21:53). Rounding out the rest of the team were Senior Randi Grim in 116th (22:40), Freshman Camryn Keane in 138th (23:08), Junior Charlotte Worthington in 143rd (23:16), Sophomore Denae Ingerick in 179th (24:49), and Freshman Samantha Bailey in 187th (25:23).
"It was an awesome experience," said Coffee.
"The course was really tough, but there were tons of girls to push me" said Worthington. "I loved going the with tem, we have some much fun."
