Hornet XC teams compete at Lasagna Invite

The Wellsboro Cross Country teams traveled to Wyalusing Thursday to compete at the Lasagna Invite.
The Varsity girls team conitnued to improve with a 4th place finish with a score of 75. Sophomore Jada Jackson led the way with a 5th place finish in a time of 21:29, followed by Sophomore Jordyn Coffee in 7th (21:49). Rounding out the rest of the team were Sophomore Camryn Keane in 19th (23:21), Sophomore Samantha Bailey in 21st (23:27), Junior Caitlynn Butler in 23rd (23:33), Freshman Janessa Davis in 24th (23:35), Senior Charlotte Worthington in 25th (23:37), Junior Annie Sweeney in 29th (23:57), and Senior Baylee Mann in 33rd (24:05).
The Varsity boys team placed 8th on the day with a score of 182 points. Senior Joey Doganiero led the team with a 9th place finish in a time of 17:29. Following Doganiero were Freshman Joey Messmer in 36th (20:13), Junior Dalton Messmer in 42nd (21:11), Freshman Alden Weiner in 58th (22:19), and Sophomore David Zavetsky in 60th (22:31).
In the Middle School races, the boys team finished in 5th place and the girls were 3rd.
