Wyalusing boys, Troy girls win NTL Coaches Invite

The Troy Girls Cross Country team and the Wyalusing boys ran away with the team titles at the NTL Coaches Invite at Northeast Bradford on Saturday, October 13.
In the girls race the Lady Trojans had 5 runners in the top 7 to win with a score of 16 places. North Penn-Mansfield was 2nd with 80, Canton (82) was 3rd, Wyalusing (95) was 4th, Northeast Bradford (128) finished 5th, Towanda (143) was 6th, and Wellsboro (162) was 7th.
Junior Kylie Butler finished 21st overall in 24:14 to lead the Lady Hornets. Senior Kara Doane (26:24) was 38th, freshman Madeline Bryant (27:09) was 41st, senior Rachel Chamberlain (29:29) was 53rd, sophomore Alexis Banik (30:35) was 56th, and freshman Regan Regina (30:35) was 57th.
In the boys race took the top 4 spots to win with 24 places. Northeast Bradford finished in 2nd with 62 places, North Penn-Mansfield (112) was 3rd, Towanda (116) was 4th, Canton (133) was 5th, Cowanesque Valley (141) was 6th, Troy (148) was 7th, Wellsboro (156) was 8th, and Sullivan County rounded out the field in 9th with 220 places.
Senior Bergen Weiner was the top finisher for the Hornets in 13th with a time of 19:26. Senior Zack Busch (19:52) was 19th, junior Brennan Warner (21:48) was 49th, sophomore Aidan Fletcher (21:48) was 50th, senior Aidan Perry (21:50) was 51st, sophomore Tylar Wright (22:23) was 57th, and senior Taylor Wheeler (25:09) was 79th.
The Hornets are back in action for the final time in the regular season on Tuesday, October 16 against Sayre, Sullivan County, and Towanda.
