Junior High XC Splits With South Williamsport

The Wellsboro Junior High Cross Country teams split a home meet with South Williamsport on Thursday, September 15.
The young Lady Hornets defeated South Williamsport 18-37 while South edged the young Hornets, 17-19.
In the girls race Wellsboro swept the top three, with Lauren Kosek (11:57), Isla Twoey (12:17), and Bella Hawn (13:20) taking those spots. Piper Hoprich (15:20) was 5th overall, Molly Tice (16:03) finished 7th and Silvia Lane (24:13) was 11th.
In the boys race Michael Knefly (11:43) took home a 1st place finish. Charles Cozby (14:11) was 4th, Connor Hartman (15:12) was 6th, and Jack Hammerton (19:05) was 8th.
The team is back in action On Tuesday, September 20 against Northeast Bradford.
