Kosek Takes Cliff Robbins Invite Crown

Junior Lauren Kosek captured 1st place at the 50th annual Cliff Robbins XC Invite in Dallas, PA Saturday morning.
Kosek was the only runner to break the 19-minute mark, running an 18:58.
Freshman Kaci Kosek (23:43) was 42nd, sophomore Luisa Crocco (29:44) was 141st, and sophomore Anja Przybycien (31:23) was 159th.
The Wellsboro boys also had a stellar day as they placed two in the top-10. Seniors Henry Whitney and Max Macias finished 7th an 8th, with Whitney running 16:59 and Macias clocking a 17:10.
Senior Ethan Geneski (21:07) came home 106th, freshman Taitt Webster (21:17) was 110th, senior Henry Nowak (22:44) was 153rd, freshman Jacob Patterson (23:56) finished 179th, sophomore Jack Hammerton (23:58) was 180th, freshman Jesse Spicer (25:25) finished 200th, and freshman Austin DeShazo (26:26) was 210th.
Wellsboro starts league competition Tueday when they host Sayre and Troy.
