Junior Lauren Kosek continued her dominance this season with a first place finish at the Owego Night Invite.
Kosek was the only female runner to go sub-19 "under the lights" as she blew away the field with a time of 17:33. Freshman Kaci Kosek (22:14) finished 49th, senior Sophia Yoder (23:54) crossed the fine line in 74th, sophomore Luisa Crocco (27:08) was 124th, and sophomore Anja Przybycien (28:12) came home 137th.
The Lady Hornets finished 13th as a team with 319 places.
In the boys race the Hornets finished 10th overall with 329 places. Senior Max Macias led the team with a time of 16:34 to finish 10th overall, followed by senior Henry Whitney right behind him in 11th (16:35).
Senior Ethan Geneski (20:15) finished 101st, freshman Taitt Webster (20:26) was 105th, Henry Nowak (21:14) was 130th, sophomore Jack Hammerton (21:53) finished 145th, and freshman Austin DeShazo (23:23) came home 163rd.
The team will take place in the PIAA Foundation Invite today in Hershey.
